About This Program

Specialist diabetes management — at your pace

Doctors On Site provides comprehensive diabetes care for Type 1, Type 2, and gestational diabetes — including insulin management, continuous glucose monitor (CGM) optimization, insulin pump support, and medication adjustments. Care is led by board-certified endocrinologists and delivered virtually across Ontario.

Diabetes is a chronic condition that benefits enormously from specialist input — the difference between "managing" and "thriving" is often a matter of accessing the right expertise at the right time.

Our program is designed to help patients achieve better glycemic control, reduce complications, and access the latest therapies — including GLP-1 agonists, SGLT-2 inhibitors, and continuous glucose monitoring technology.

Frequently Asked Questions

Diabetes management FAQ

Common questions about our endocrinology-led program.

No. You can book directly with our endocrinologists. If you do have a family doctor, we will share visit notes with them so your care stays coordinated.
Specialist consultations with our endocrinologists are typically billable to OHIP for Ontario residents. Some special circumstances may incur a service fee — our team will confirm in advance.
Ozempic is OHIP-listed for Type 2 diabetes when prescribed by a physician (general benefit). Coverage for weight management indications differs — your physician will discuss specifics during your visit.
Yes. We can prescribe Dexcom and FreeStyle Libre devices, help with private/employer insurance prior authorization, and review your CGM data at follow-up visits to fine-tune therapy.
Yes. We support all major pumps (Omnipod, Tandem, Medtronic). We review pump data via screen-share or upload, adjust basal/bolus settings, and troubleshoot issues — entirely virtually.
Typical follow-up is every 3 months for established patients. Newly started patients (e.g. just begun insulin or switched to a pump) may have closer follow-up — every 2–4 weeks during the titration period.
